He will be responsible for developing the details and implementation of the company’s approach to building Merchant category sales. This will Include but not limited choice of categories to sell, identification and selection of suppliers, approach to category management, identification and training of other Branch sales staff, approach to customer acquisition, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the understanding of the Building Merchant Sales landscape in KSA and anticipate future trends and challenges.
• Develop the company’s approach to building Merchant category sales through its transformed stores.
• Lead the company’s thinking on merchandising, stocking, and inventory management of Building Merchant categories.
• Identify and select and additional Suppliers for chosen categories and advise Procurement and Commercial Team in HO.
• Define required skills of building Merchant sale staff, to be hired in store
• Lead the company’s thinking on customer acquisition from competitors.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders and fulfilling business requirements to performance levels.
• Coordinate closely with other departments to issue the successful implementation of the initiative.
• Performs other assigned tasks related to his work nature.
• Help other Branch Staff with Product knowledge and encourage Sales of the Products.
• Prepare Customer Quotes for larger enquiries for products.
• Liaise with Commercial Department at HO in terms of Product selection and Supplier Selection.
• Work with the other product area team in a Branch.
• Answer any enquiries from customers of a technical nature to help other Staff.
• Report and work closely with Branch Manager to help achieve Sales Targets, and aim to achieve maximum Sales margins on products in the Category.
• With Branch Managers permission, conduct site visits to get any large enquires and Orders
• Fully aware of who the competitors are and advice Branch Manager of any learning from then we can adopt in our Branches.
• Overall help increase Sales and Market share in the Category and ensure repeat customers.
• Ensure minimum out of Stock of Products to minimize lost Sales.
