POSITION SUMMARY
- The Production Manager will be involved with the planning, coordination and control of the industrial process.
- To ensure the smooth continuity of production to agreed targets, budgets and deadlines, whilst remaining flexible to unexpected changes. To undertake rapid decisions, with cognizance of both the long and short term consequences. To meet both Customer and Company requirements to ensure that the products meets with the Company’s high standards for quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Day to day management of manufacturing operations in accordance with the production program and product quality.
- Prepare, agree, and effectively manage the allocated portion of annual budget for operational spends.
- Structures the production operations in order to meet production schedules.
- Provides technology leadership and world-class manufacturing strategies and initiatives for the factory.
- Plans production operations and materials, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Responsible for control of waste; reduce and recycle wastage; ensuring production cost is effective.
- To work with all departments to optimize production up time.
- To manage trials of new products.
- Implementing and monitoring housekeeping.
- Liaise with Operation Manager and Maintenance Manager for the selection- and maintenance of the equipment.
- Follow the company’s manuals, procedures and regulations. Working together with Department Managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- Assures products meet all specifications, ensures their compliance to process requirements and are made according to plant procedures, standards and safety regulations.
- Management of personnel. To recruit, supervise, assess, motivate and discipline the workforce to ensure the continuity of staffing within the budgetary requirements of the company. To oversee the induction and training of all employees to ensure that they meet the high standards required within the production department.
- To create a safe working environment and assure that all personnel comply with health and safety rules.
