To board and pilot oil tankers calling at port for loading and unloading in accordance with berthing and loading schedules, and decides, jointly with Supervisor, the time of berthing and unberthing according to weather and sea conditions to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company safety programs.
Boards oil tankers calling at port at anchorage area, as designated by Supervisor, and pilot the tankers to assigned berth to ensure full control of the tanker before berthing.
Maintains complete control of all berthing and loading operations conducted on board and around the tanker to ensure adherence with established procedures and practices.

Reports immediately to Supervisor any fault or defect discovered in the terminal and loading facilities and equipment used during the berthing and loading operations, and assists and cooperates with Facilities Maintenance personnel for their maintenance and repair, as instructed by Supervisor
