Administration, Organization and Management of IT operation. Provides advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of IT operation, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational projects. Approves, coordinates, and controls all projects w.r.t selection, acquisition, development, and installation, for the organization. Look after IT team members professional and personal needs, maintain a healthy and productive working environment in the Organization in general and in the IT operation Department in particular.
Strategic / General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage IT hardware vendors, contracts and service level agreements and perform vendor risk assessments.
- Develop department policies, process and procedures documentation and provide internal training to department and impacted end users.
- Ensure compliance of department and organizational polices.
- Manage department team members, including performance and training assessments. Assist in the development of IT staffing plan and professional growth.
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and strategic goals.
- Manage IT department services and prepare management reports of department activities, tasks, and operational metrics.
- Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers.
- Be responsible for device and password management.
- Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls).
- Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software.
- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via help desk.
- Manage and maintain networking and telecommunication systems to ensure quick access to information.
- Protect business networks against attacks from outside sources.
- Set up remote network access for users.
- Oversee the management and licensing of computer/mobile device software OS.
- Set up and configure servers for the management of applications and IT systems.
- Oversee the set up and configuration of an organization’s email and file server.
- Perform periodic backup of information and data to ensure recovery in event of system breakdown.
- Develops and maintains annual capital and operating budgets for company’s IT function operation
- Reviews company hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate
Develop and deploy IT policies to ensure company’s data and assets good utilization and safeguard
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Operations
