Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the executive/senior nursing leadership team in all strategic and operational planning and execution, supporting THC Nursing Department's strategic and annual operational plans.
- Provide visible and effective transformational leaden hip, which soften a positive, safe working environment, a Culture of Safety and Culture of Civility'
- Actively participate in organization and/or departmental committees, positively representing the organization and profession of nursing both internally and externally'
- Utilize and embody Magnet principles to transform nursing at all levels, inclusive of excellence in nursing.practice (i.e. care delivery models), nursing autonomy, structural empowerment, sinning research and innovation.
- Support standardization o fall initiatives, patient care improvement projects and nursing practice within their scope of authority
- Effectively execute initiatives through robust interdisciplinary aod interdepartmental collaboration using a systems approach.
- Be responsible for the implementation, oversight and day-to-day management of Nursing within the organization as per assignment/delegation.
- Embrace continuing professional development at all levels.
- Empower and foster teamwork to achieve nursing practice and operational excellence in the delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient care, supporting patient centered care and noose satisfaction and retention.
- Support and ensure continuous cost efficiency and value-based use of human, malarial and financial resources
- Supervise and role model to nursing Stale across the organization to ensure tasks ale carried out effectively and efficiently with high regard to staff and patient safety' support and coordinate, as delegated, the department recruitment and on boarding of qualified staff, inclusive of the Annual Staffing Plan.
- Work collaboratively with the credentialing processes and committees to maintain acceptance of high-quality nursing recruitment to fulfill current and future nursing manpower requirements.
- Ensure all staff are appropriately assigned to job positions and allocations and maintain valid qua ossification and competencies'
- Empower and support the development of staff at all levels to maintain a high-performing workforce and adequate succession planning.
- Foster growth and development oaf national workforce.
- Promote confidence and transparency through effective/professional communication.
- Support, develop and ensure compliance of evidence-based policies, procedures and guidelines in fulfillment with regulatory requirements.
- Support, coordinate and drive patient experience improvement initiatives across the continuum of care while working inter-professionally within the organization
