Job Responsibilities 1
Principal Accountabilities
Ensure resource and activity costing is available on a monthly basis for all Projects.
Produce planning and cost deliverables in accordance with the project timetable from engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning data
Delivers a cost and schedule effective, high standard of cost controls services to all internal and external clients
Job Responsibilities 2
Essential Function
\[ Establish system and methodology according with the client requirement on cost reporting and forecasting.
\[ Provides overall directions and manage development of the organization cost control system and processes.
\[ Ensure Cost Controls team provides consistent, accurate management and reporting of services and capital cost, schedule and resourcing on projects
\[ Understand all relevant project documents relating to the cost Management of allocated project(s) and provide feedback during the budget approval process. Issue suitable direction to subordinate staff to ensure they have a clear idea on what is required.
\[ Directs the compilation of the CCS accounts for every project audit to ensure correct information is passed to site.
\[ Develops a regime of constant monitoring for the information produced by the cost control system
\[ Completes regular reviews of the cost reporting mechanism to ensure that it is robust and to best practice standards
\[ Reviews Cost Control Managers site visit reports and support with site visits where required. These site visits are to provide feedback and cost control feedback to the site commercial managers and cost control representative at least once a month to verify the progress measurements.
\[ Manages the rollout of corporate initiatives with respect to cost control.
\[ Ensures feedback of cost and schedule actuals to estimating and business development for improvement of corporate estimating data.
\[ Ensures Cost Controls teams supports Project teams on managing claims for variations and extensions and assists in resolutions of contract disputes
\[ Identifies and implements best practices, procedure and tools and systems cost controls
\[ Reviews proposed cost changes with construction personnel, client and contractors, and that the system in updated.
\[ Monitors market force and commodity trends- anticipate likely related problems, based on current Trends
\[ Provides leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members.
Additional Responsibilities 3
Job Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of Cost Control and estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) is essential
• Knowledge in Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control
• Full understanding of accounting principles
• Keeps up to date with the best practice in the field of Cost Control
•
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
