We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer to oversee the procurement activities of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services, while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will work closely with various departments to identify the organization's procurement needs. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies that are cost-effective, risk-averse and align with the organization's objectives. Furthermore, you will manage supplier relationships, manage procurement contracts and ensure the organization receives quality goods and services.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices and standards with experience in a leadership role.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Manage supplier relationships and supplier performance
Develop an efficient procurement process from requisition to purchase order
Implement cost-saving initiatives
Ensure the procurement process is auditable
Provide leadership and mentoring to procurement personnel
