- Material Management: Monitor and manage the material status and inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply without overstocking.
- Procurement Coordination: Coordinate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of materials that meet quality standards.
- Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers, handle supplier inquiries, delivery issues.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure efficient and smooth transportation and delivery of materials, addressing any logistics issues.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records and generate regular inventory and procurement reports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, evaluating their performance and addressing any issues to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery of materials.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to coordinate material movements, resolve discrepancies, and implement improvements in the material supply chain process as a Material Controller.
- As a Material Controller, your role involves utilizing inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels, generate reports, and analyze data for informed decision-making on reorder quantities and inventory turnover.
- Material Controllers negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms, monitor inventory levels, and implement control measures to optimize working capital and reduce costs.
