• Direct the development and oversee the implementation of Finance’s policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through adapting to changes in international standards, changes in the business environment and adoption of leading practices within Finance
• Oversee escalated Finance non-compliance case resolution and reduce non-compliance through ensuring the availability and promotion of stipulated policies and procedures.
• Assist operations in preparing monthly regular financial reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by project
• Assist with compiling and developing budgets
• Complete analysis of financial results; project analysis; OPEX analysis; Cash flow analysis
• Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control, follow up with clients, suppliers, and banks
• Assist FC in preparing the cash flow projection to secure present and future service delivery
• Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise affiliate finance staff
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for management; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain mandated documents as required
• Examine accounting data for accuracy, appropriateness and documentation
• Audit documents submitted for payment for compliance with Group policies & guidelines
• Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns
• Assist with compiling and developing budgets;
• Complete analysis of financial results; Develop recommendations
• Assist in development of financial planning and analysis exercises/reports
• Analyze budget vs. actual, and recommend appropriate corrective measures
• Make regular reports to the projects & services department on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets; project analysis
