The role holder is responsible for performing administrative tasks for specific applications and providing support to users on any application related issues. Also the role performs database management tasks and ensures backup and recovery procedures as well as maintaining database documentation.
Main Job Functions:
• Conducts research in the area of new technology to meet the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure requirements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the IT Infrastructure.
• Manages Citrix enterprise architecture and functionality.
• Manages and implements Microsoft AD, Citrix and File level Group Security Policies.
• Evaluates and implements new technologies, policies and procedures for business network operations.
• Prepares technical design and procedural documentation using Microsoft application software such as Word, Visio and Power point.
• Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Coordinates software system installation and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Investigates, analyses, and resolves complex application and software problems.
• Evaluates and implements new technologies, policies and procedures for business operations.
• Ensures timely updates/maintenance of the system software.
• Ensures that information services support is available 24x7.
• Provides support for the all implementations related to Oracle, EBMS, Document Management System, Microsoft applications, etc.
• Supports all other small applications developed using .NET and SQL Server.
• Analyses current, future business needs and lead the project feasibility study with respect to system application requirements.
• Trains the junior engineers on software support.
