Key Accountability (Responsibilities)
1.Directing the design, development and implementation of reinsurance programs and products through collaboration with internal business units (investment finance/management, capital management, actuaries) and external reinsurance organizations.
2.Overseeing analysis and reporting of the company's reinsurance agreements; summarizing errors and providing guidance on settlements made.
3.Managing and continually improving the timing, efficiency, and clarity of accounting, (ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual) reporting and auditing for all aspects of reinsurance.
4.Responsible for the administration of reinsurance plans.
5.Maintains plan records and ensures compliance with federal regulations.
6.Communicates with customers and assists with plan design and distribution when necessary.
7.Ensures timely accounting, reporting and auditing.
8.Researches and analyzes reinsurance prices and specifications.
9.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
10.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
11.Performs a variety of tasks.
12.Leads and directs the work of others.
