the planner is responsible for workflow coordination and materials, shipment schedules and inventory levels within Alshaya Food, carried on a daily, monthly and longer-term quarterly plans.
The Planner is involved in the logistic of supply chain management. Their tasks are based around the organizational aspects of production and distribution of product, the coordination with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates and solving production problems.
Responsibility
To evaluate and unify purchasing opportunities;To work closely with Supply Chain Manager to ensure efficient production that satisfies all operational needs;To define best production flow to guarantee consistency in production and supply of all orders;To communication and coordinate exchange between Alshaya Food and the different distribution streams of the chain;To work closely with production managers and identify areas of improvement in operations;To organize paperwork such as purchase orders and delivery schedules;To keep records and information updated and coordinate purchase and delivery with clients and co-workersTo oversee the development of new products from an operational perspective, ensuring a smooth launch within an accurate time-frame;To ensure production is maximized;To liaise with different department.
Requirements
2-5 years as food planner - Inventory Control, Budget Control. Preferably in Factory Environment2 years in supply chain management Have previous experience for 1 year of MRP system, APICS certificationExperience in modern manufacturing practiceHigh PC skills, Microsoft office skillsEffective Communication at all levels within the organization, Effective presentation skills English language is a MUST
