A leading construction company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to join their team. As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all design aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. This role requires a strong background in architecture and engineering, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
- Lead a team of architects, engineers, and designers to develop detailed design plans and specifications
- Review design proposals and drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Oversee the coordination and integration of design activities with other project teams
- Manage the design process from concept development to final construction documents
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress and quality of design implementation
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the construction phase
- Stay updated with the latest design trends and innovations in the construction industry
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables within budget and schedule constraints
- Collaborate with external design consultants and contractors as required
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, building codes, and regulations in Saudi Arabia
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a design team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing project scope
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred
