The purpose of this role is to lead, direct and coach a team of Medical Sales Representatives in order to achieve sales and promotion objectives for the Surgical Business; provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability, growth and market share in line with company vision and values.
Major Accountabilities
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Lead, direct and motivate the sales team in order to achieve the overall country/territory sales objectives, with full accountability for sales, distribution, key accounts and market share in the country/territory.
Responsible for delivering country/territory sales target according to set budget.
Supervise sales team to ensure achievement of sales, expenses and marketing program targets.
Support and follow up the implementation of professional and consumer marketing programmes.
Establish strong relationships with local distributor’s team
Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Eye Care Practitioners.
Drive and develop key account strategies and plans.
Work effectively in coordination with other related departments, analyze and interpret sales results in order to undertake appropriate actions that develop and maximize business results.
Provide accurate 12 month Rolling Forecast and report competitive market information about competitors’ activities and customers’ needs.
Create effective territory structure, evaluate it periodically and update it if necessary.
Quality & Compliance responsibilities: to maintain areas of responsibility totally aligned with the quality and compliance policies and system of the company
District Manager is Responsible for forwarding adverse events, events of special interest and product complaints to the LVR once he/she is aware about and within once calendar day of receipt
Key Performance Indicators:
Sales-Force effectiveness (deployment and targeting).
Achievement of sales, distribution, expenses and marketing program targets.
Building strong relationships with local distributor sales team..
Actively use internal SALSA System, follow up and evaluate sales-force daily activities.
Provide accurate follow up in all reporting systems such as periodic reporting and customer database, etc.
