ROLE PURPOSE:
To carry out training responsibilities using established methods and instruments. Lead the work of trainer's team to design and deliver training programs and packages to match needs to solutions in implementing training activities. Develop staff knowledge, skills, and attitude and maintain high standards of program deliveries.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Strategy, Planning and Budgeting
* Contribute effectively to the strategy development, annual work plan and budget of the department and supervise the implementation of the same.
Analysis of Training Needs
* Undertake and administer surveys to identify training needs for all IRTI's stakeholders.
* Analyse and classify training needs based on assessment survey in IDB Member Countries, and categorizes these needs by themes and priority.
* Prepare learning and training objectives and methods in collaboration with the Bank's business units.
Programme Planning
* Prepare courses to meet training needs, together with the required material.
* Oversee organization of other regular training programs as planned in cooperation with the collaborating institution. It is required to collect and analyse training-related data and make recommendations to support management decision-making regarding training activities.
* Oversee training programs for trainers in collaboration with reputed Training Institutions and Centers of Excellence in and outside or other development activities.
* Participate in the design of nomination criteria, and the process of soliciting appropriate nominations of people, to match identified courses or other development activities.
* Lead the efforts to design and produce the Annual Training Manual based on all activities that Training Division undertakes.
Course Material
* Develop Training Packages, Materials and Programs on Islamic Economics and Finance in-order to fulfil the identified needs of the target users.
* Develop speeches for local, regional and international forums on topics related to Islamic Banking and Finance.
Course Delivery
* Deliver training programs, using established curricula and materials.
* Present speeches for local, regional and international forums on latest development in the Islamic Banking and Finance Industry.
* Coordinate external speakers for programs and events to enhance and enrich the topic undertaken by IRTI.
* Researches and develops innovative training approaches according to the market requirement.
Evaluation
* Design and administer post-course evaluation of learning in order to improve the qualities of the programs in term of materials and program facilitators.
* Act on findings to improve training provisions as required according to the standards of IRTI.
Knowledge Sharing and Innovation
* Participate in training initiatives to share knowledge and develop internal capacity
* Carry out research work under supervision
* Suggest innovative ideas to improve efficiency of work
* Lead and monitor the work of junior training team members to ensure that they have the knowledge, skills and the proper attitude to deliver the training programs according to the standards
* Provide guidance to the training team in preparation of the professional development training modules in the required field
* Ensure efficient utilization of the training team, support their work and ensure deliverables comply with the set standards
Reporting & Communications
* Prepare and present regular progress reports to brief IRTI Management about the workflow and issues, if any.
* Suggest solutions to the issues raised in order to overcome these issues.
